City of Girls by Elizabeth Gilbert

Let me tell, if there was a book I wanted to write it would be this book. There is a Vivian in all of us, the main character in the book, trying to figure herself and what experiences she wants to live. The book is brilliant, the characters are interesting, and it depicts a time and era where evolution happened. It was my summer read for 2019 and I enjoyed every bit of it. It probably made my summer beach holiday even more memorable. Don’t settle for the soft copy, go for the hard one. It will fill your days by stories of the main character and her encounters in the big city of New York during a time when the women role was so vague in the society. She becomes part of the entertainment business but in her journey, like most journeys, you get yourself into obvious mistakes. The question is, how do they shape you into the person you are now?

It’s one of my favorite books and you will not feel the time passing while reading it.
