<image:title>Blog - Let's go banans.. Vegan Banana Bread - The first time I made this banana bread, my neighbor came over because the smell of the cooked bananas and walnuts reached her house. There is something about baking that makes houses more cozy and inviting. Here is the easy recipe for making this banana bread: You will need: 2 ripe bananas 2 cups all purpose flour 1/2 brown cane sugar pinch of salt 1/2 cup oil (coconut, sunflower, canola) 2 cups nut milk 1/2 nut yogurt 1 tsp baking soda 1 tsp baking powder 1 tsp pure vanilla extract 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon 1 tsp apple cider vinegar 1/2 cup walnuts Garnish (optional) Banana Walnuts How to make it: Heat the oven to 170c. only turn the bottom fire in the oven. Mix dry ingredients together in a bowl. I like to sift the flour with the baking soda and baking powder so they are evenly distributed and have more air. Mix wet ingredients starting with mushing the bananas with a fork. Make a whole in the middle of the dry ingredients and drop the wet ingredients in the middle. Adjust how moist your dough is by adding little by little of nut milk if needed. Add the 1/2 cup of walnuts. Break the walnuts lightly before you add them to the batter. Transfer the batter into a lined up bread pan with baking paper. Tap it to release the air bubbles then add the garnish on top of your desire either chopped banana or walnuts or both! Press gently on the top batter. Put it in the oven for around 40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Turn the last 5 minutes the top of the over to give the banana bread the tan it needs. And Enjoy!</image:title>

<image:title>Blog - The Habit of making good Habits.. - Watch your thoughts, they become actions. Watch your actions, they become habits. Watch your habits, they become character. I’ve always struggled with committing to good habits. Either I feel discouraged or just forget about them. The difference now is that I know and I have a target of the habits I am trying to create. The Habit tracker I keep on a monthly basis in my journal helps me create new habits or keep up with the one I have already started. It takes 66 days for a habit to become automatic. That’s only few days over two months. Ask yourself, what habit I want to create. For my monthly journal, I have started with the basic ones, read, drink water, sleep 8+, do yoga, and self love. Everyday I do the habit, I highlight that day in a small calendar I have created with just the number of days. Soon you will notice what habits are you making progress in and what need more attention. Once you get basic habits you wanted to create, you start dwelling in more habits you have always wanted to be part of you. Writing was always something I wanted to do everyday as a habit. Could be drawing for someone else. But I assure you, the progress you see in building these habits while keeping a dated tracker on them has a great feeling to them at the end of the day when you go and highlight that date of the habit tracker.</image:title>

<image:title>Blog - 21 Days of Abundance - Recently, I was part of a 21 Days of abundance meditation group. I didn’t make so much of it when it first started. I thought I will meditate, which I normally do as part of my yoga practice. However, this meditation was as enlightening as going on a trip to somewhere new. New scenery, new scents, everything felt new. I thanked myself first for not being resilient to something new, otherwise, I wouldn’t have that experience. The 21 days took me in such a beautiful journey and the more I was aware of the abundance I was feeling within, the more I felt blessed to have this experience. After the 21 days, I reminisced on the feeling and decided to do the whole 21 days again with two of my close friends. And the feeling of abundance got growing, from there I started a group after the other, and sometimes different groups at the same time. I still enjoy the journey the meditation takes me to every time I sit and listen to it. One of the best experiences I lived through this meditation was a lady came to me and told me that you made me see the miracles in every day. If you want to be part of the upcoming group, because there will always be, just email me and you will get added to listen to guided meditations and will be part of simple tasks to perform every day of the 21 days.</image:title>

<image:title>Blog - City of Girls by Elizabeth Gilbert - Let me tell, if there was a book I wanted to write it would be this book. There is a Vivian in all of us, the main character in the book, trying to figure herself and what experiences she wants to live. The book is brilliant, the characters are interesting, and it depicts a time and era where evolution happened. It was my summer read for 2019 and I enjoyed every bit of it. It probably made my summer beach holiday even more memorable. Don’t settle for the soft copy, go for the hard one. It will fill your days by stories of the main character and her encounters in the big city of New York during a time when the women role was so vague in the society. She becomes part of the entertainment business but in her journey, like most journeys, you get yourself into obvious mistakes. The question is, how do they shape you into the person you are now? It’s one of my favorite books and you will not feel the time passing while reading it.</image:title>

<image:title>Blog - The Tangy Coleslaw - I Made this coleslaw as an experiment. I tried to think of a way to use some leftover red cabbage I grated for my sauerkraut and filled a jar of already, into a salad or some kind of dip. I have decided that potatoes goes good with coleslaw and I love potatoes anytime. So made this slaw out of what I thought would work. Believe it, it really worked! What you need.. 1/2 of a medium size red cabbage grated (because the color is amazing, you can use white cabbage) 1/2 cup Almond Yoghurt. I’m not sure how coconut yoghurt would taste, but you could give it a try. 1 tbs Vegan Mayonnaise 1 tsp Mustard 1/4 Lemon juice Crack of Pepper Salt to taste 1 chopped spring onion for garnish How to make it? Well, not very hard. Mix it all except the spring onions, store it in the fridge for at least 1 hour. Before serving, add the chopped spring onions and enjoy with potatoes, corn, burger, or on top of salad.</image:title>

      <image:title>My Story - Roudha Al Marri</image:title>
<image:caption>I was taking my son who was 2 years old to a mindfullness class in a yoga studio back in 2014. I stayed and watched his yoga instructor interact with the kids. It surprised me how much of her talk I needed to hear myself. I signed up for the next available session and my life has transformed since then. I am now a Yoga Instructor and a Breathing Coach based in Abu Dhabi and my enthusiasm spreads around everything holistic. I published a book in 2018 sharing my childhood stories and the culture I grew in, UAE101. I did not expect a simple talk with a neighbor will take me in a journey to publish a book! but life has a strange way of showing you how beautiful it is. I love to believe that I’m a poet at heart as well and writing is a necessary daily habit I like to return to whenever I hear the call. I immerse myself in experiences from around the world to learn from different yoga practices. I focus on brining balance to my surroundings. A plant-based all around and I am a certified 200-hr RYT Yoga Teacher and a certified Breath Coach. In addition, I have taken yoga workshops from around the world: Tulum and Los Cabos in Mexico, Los Angeles and New York in United States, and Bali, Indonesia in Sound Healing, Meditation and Yoga. I live by a simple word from the Sanskrit language, “Pratyahara”, which means “Conceal your senses, connect with your inner self.”</image:caption>
